8.01.07 Looking forward to an extended stay in New York, from mid August through early October. Coming to town to meet with galleries and to see all the great shows opening in September. 7.17.07 In the midst of preparing for the McKnight Fellowship exhibition, opening August 4 from 7 - 9pm. The 2006/2007 Fellows include Angela Strassheim, Orin Rutchick, Kristine Heykants and Mickey... Hope you can make it to see the new work up at MCP through October 7.
5.14.07 The Magenta Foundation announced their Flash Forward 2007 winners last week. Mickey received an honorable mention for US Emerging Photographers. (Good thing we applied this year because they only consider those 34 and under...)
4.16.07 We've just heard from American Photography 23! Blood and Cancer were selected from over 8,000 images submitted. The AP23 annual will contain 331 images and is scheduled for release November 2007.
2.26.07 Selections from the Volume series will be shown in Art Chicago 2007 with Kansas City based exhibitor Sherry Leedy Contemporary Art.

8.12.06 All new in the studio, an intern! Heather Everhart is finishing up her Masters in Arts Administration at St. Mary’s. She’ll be in the studio through December to help get the work out, build some very exciting databases and plan the inaugural studio party and sale in November. 7.01.06 Thank you, thank you, thank you to the McKnight Foundation for awarding Mickey a McKnight Artist Fellowship for Photography. An exhibition of work made during the fellowship period will be exhibited at the Minnesota Center for Photography next fall. 6.29.06 Mickey will be in Kansas City to create new work in preparation for an exhibition at the Society for Contemporary Photography. The residency will kick off with a lecture at the University of Missouri-Kansas City art department on February 7.
5.19.06 Power will be part of the Center for Photography at Woodstock's 28 Annual Benefit Auction on Saturday, October 7. Absentee bids are welcomed and proceeds help to support the programs of CPW.
